Remediation

What is remediation?

Remediation is the process used to address contamination and ensure a property is safe for ongoing use.

What can remediation treatments include?

Remediation treatments can include a range of options such as deep cleaning, vacuuming of roof cavities, capping or removal of contaminated soil. Decisions about appropriate treatments are made at a property-by-property level, in consultation with property owners and tenants, regulators and an independent expert Site Auditor.

Why do different properties receive different remediation treatments?

Remediation treatments will be based on individual property test results and owner needs. The type and extent of remediation can be affected by a range of factors including property age, whether the property has been renovated, the location of the property, how the property is used and the preferences of the individual land owner.
